UMIH offers a full spectrum of state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging across all 32 locations. Every facility is accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR).

Routine diagnostic radiology

High Field Open MRI, MRI 1.5T and 3.0T, multi-slice CT, PET, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, DEXA bone density, digital X-ray, and fluoroscopy — the tests your provider is most likely to order.

High Field Open MRI — comfortable open design for claustrophobic or larger patients
MRI 1.5T and 3T — high-resolution imaging of brain, spine, joints and soft tissue
CT and CT angiography (CTA) — rapid cross-sectional imaging and non-invasive vascular studies
PET — metabolic imaging for cancer diagnosis and monitoring
Nuclear medicine — bone, thyroid, HIDA, MAG3 renal, and cardiac perfusion scans
Ultrasound — radiation-free imaging for pregnancy, gallbladder, thyroid, breast, vascular and pelvic studies
DEXA bone density — osteoporosis screening and monitoring
Digital X-ray — low-dose radiography for bones, chest, and sinus
Fluoroscopy — real-time imaging for GI, urologic and arthrogram studies

Breast Health Program

Screening mammography — annual digital 3D mammography (tomosynthesis)
Breast ultrasound — dense-breast supplement and diagnostic evaluation
Breast biopsy — stereotactic, ultrasound-guided and MRI-guided image-guided biopsy
Breast MRI — high-risk screening and implant evaluation

Specialty diagnostic radiology

PET/CT — combined metabolic and anatomic imaging for cancer staging and treatment response
